Educational Opportunities
This is a unique opportunity for you to learn from an innovative and ambitious team that has a fast-paced and dynamic culture. This role will report directly to the leadership team and will include the following learning opportunities:

​

• Assist with initial market screens and evaluations to assess potential startups' suitability for our Player-Coach Program

• Assist with initial business analysis and strategic planning of the startup, including developing financial and valuation models and analyzing the industry/markets

• Assist with preparation of fundraising activities for the startups, including preparation and review of marketing materials and financial models

• Assist in managing relationships with angel investors, venture capital firms, accelerators and incubators as well as campus entrepreneurship programs

• Work closely with the 88ships team to raise brand awareness on campus and in the larger startup community

 

Preferred Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) or graduate degree at a top university

• Strong interest in entrepreneurship and startups, as well as early stage investing

• Involvement in campus entrepreneurship, strategy consulting, venture capital or finance programs

• Analytical and strategic thinker with a high attention to detail who is capable of simultaneously handling multiple projects from multiple stakeholders

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with quickly changing priorities

• Driven self-starter with a passion for excellence
